In Flash Point Nancy Baker Jacobs introduces Susan Kim Delancey, Governor's Special Assistant in Arson Investigation. She is working with multiple law enforcement jurisdictions trying to catch an arsonist who is targeting single moms, and then kidnapping their baby. As Ms. Delancey battles to find the arsonist before he kills again, she finds herself waging political and media wars too. She finds herself and her son, Max, at risk as she gets closer to the truth. And will the truth be closer to home than she ever dreamed?

Nancy Baker Jacobs has created a wonderful blend of characters in an exciting, interesting setting. I was pleased to see her cast mirrored the population of her setting. It helped bring reality to the story for me. The story's plot is suspenseful, drawing you in so you can' quit until it's over. I hope to see more Susan Kim Delancey mysteries in the near future.
