J. A. Jance can always be relied on to provide an entertaining tale, and she succeeds again with "Dead Wrong", the latest in the series featuring Arizona sheriff Joanna Brady.

Joanna, in the final days of her pregnancy, finds herself remembering her long-dead father. Not only is his family is growing through the coming birth of her child, one of his early cases has a direct connection to one of her current ones. Of course, Joanna also has countless other problems ranging from crime through relations with relatives and animal control.

The complicated plot does have some rather implausible aspects, but the pace of the story carries the reader along. Joanna's fans will enjoy this installment of her life.
