Series: Ali Reynolds # 2
Touchstone, 2007

In Arizona Ali Reynolds is trying to start a new life after losing both her husband and her job as a TV newsperson. The divorce is about to be settled and her husband Paul set to marry his eight month pregnant girlfriend the very next day. Yet he doesnąt show up for the divorce hearing so everything is put on hold.

Ali has become a blogger to help work out her feelings. Response from readers seems to help take the place of lost friends. But soon Aliąs missing husband will leave her in an escalating tangle of suspicion and danger. Her family and Dave Holman, a friend who happens to be a homicide detective, all arrive in LA to help. But it seems they have just put themselves in danger as well.

Jance always writes a well-plotted novel with engaging characters and page turning suspense. With a number of twists the story ties up all loose ends with Ali surviving to face the next book in this new series.
