Cece Caruso writes biographies of dead mystery writers. She has just completed a book on Agatha Christie, and her accountant has found her a temporary job as an event planner. She will do the very British opening festivities for Christietown. Developer Ian Christie claims a distant relationship to Agatha and wants a British mystery atmosphere at Christietown. Cece has planned a Murder Mystery Tea, with parts for all her neighbors and friends. When a real dead body makes an appearance the publicity is only enhanced.

The characters are great fun. When Cecešs ex shows up with his fiancé and about-to-be Mom-in-Law Dot, Cece and mystery loving Dot become fast friends. Cecešs boyfriend is a homicide detective pressuring her to name the date. Cece dresses in vintage movie style clothing and lives in Hollywood. The essence of early Hollywood is strong, and everything takes place to the counterpoint of Agathašs disappearance which Cece has been asked to explain in her book.

The story has an Agatha like surprise ending. This book will be enjoyed by all Christie fans, and will make fans of those who donšt know her.
