Nick Mullins is a crime reporter on a Florida newspaper. When a prisoner is shot while being transferred to a court appearance, Nick is assigned the story. With some help from a savvy photographer he seems to be one step ahead of the police, leaving them annoyed.
While searching for a sniper, Nick & police also check for connections to other unsolved shootings. As a second man is shot Nick realizes that he may be the common thread. Finding trouble on all fronts, Nick tries to stop the killings while hoping he is not a target. This is an edge of the seat tale that will have you searching for more Jonathon King.
