Whiskey Sour introduces Lieutenant Jacqueline (Jack) Daniels and her partner, Herb. Jack’s life is a mess as she has just lost her live-in boyfriend when a serial killer dubbed the Gingerbread Man starts dumping bodies in her district while leaving no clues. She also fights insomnia and is pushed by her co-workers into trying a dating service. She has also become a target for killer.

I loved this book and the characters. By the time you finish this book you feel like you know Jack and want to be her friend and are impatiently awaiting the second book of this series. I loved her sloppy, constantly eating partner Herb also. For me I found the book an excellent first and quite a page-turner. I would highly recommend this book.
