In New Orleans, Lucius the Demoni thought he found his soulmate that he has been seeking for centuries when he met Jolie, but alas his “offspring” Alonso claimed her as his (see the first book, DESCENDENTS OF DARKNESS: ALONSO). Still he knows deep in his heart that she is out there, but he must not lose hope and continues to search for his beloved one though the doubts grow daily.

Tala loves being a werewolf, but is uncomfortable running with the pack. Instead, she would rather read a romance novel starring shapeshifters. She hopes that her own loneliness will have the same happy ending.

Lucius sees a female wolf and is stunned that she is the one. He comes to Tala and she feels the same attraction as he does, but hesitates for her sibling exchanged blood with a vampire only to lose her mind before dying. Tala wants Lucius and he needs her for eternity, but she knows the outcome of their pairing is not eternal. Lucius vows to find a way or die because his soul cannot live without Tala.

The second Descendents of Darkness tale is an excellent erotic vampire romance starring two delicious star-crossed protagonists. The story line is character driven as terrific Tala and luscious Lucius start so despondently alone that the audience can picture them, especially the vampire, as Mr. and Ms. Dyingly Sad. When they find each other, diabolically clever Marianne tosses a curve ball at these two critters by insuring a taboo love. This is a great supernatural romance that is worth reading (as is the previous tale).
