Claudia Rose specializes in handwriting analysis. When her old friend Lindsey Alexander dies Claudia is asked to analyze the suicide note.

Claudia, Kelly and Lindsay were previously good friends but due to some cruel tricks Lindsey pulled, they had grown apart. It is hard for Claudia to believe that Lindsey would actually commit suicide. Claudia felt Lindsey was far too selfish and self-centered to take her own life.

The suicide note is printed. Lindsey never printed and finding a sample of Lindsey’s printing proved to be a difficult job. Claudia went to Lindsey’s residence to pick up some information from Ivan who had hired her. Claudia was met with a shocking surprise on her arrival at Lindsey’s penthouse. Ivan had been murdered.

Joel Jovanic is the officer in charge of the investigation. Claudia and Joel are drawn to each other. Joel lets Claudia help him with the investigation although it is against the rules.

The facts that the two uncover about Lindsey and the life she lived as well as the habits of her friends and customers are quite shocking. The knowledge puts Claudia’s life in danger.

Poison Pen is a very exciting book. The reader also learns some things about handwriting analysis. It seems that your handwriting reveals more than you probably wanted anyone to know about yourself.
