Natalie Barnes has recently opened the Gray Whale Inn, a bed and
breakfast on an island off the coast of Maine. Cranberry Island is
beautifully described by the author with its wild berries, beach
roses and boats. Into this gentle seaside community comes a
developer who wants this world to change, and the residents are
split on whether this is a good or bad thing.
Newcomer Natalie opposes it, and when the developer dies, the police
target her as the best suspect. She has to find the killer to keep
herself out of jail and the inn going. The characters and setting
are impressive and the plot well done. I enjoyed this book and will
look for the next in the series.
