The Blackbirds had lived in Philadelphia's Society Hill until they went broke. The parents skipped the country and a giant tax bill. Left behind were three daughters; Libby, the free spirit who received the heirloom furniture, Emma, the sexy horsewoman who received the paintings, and Nora, the responsible one. Nora received the Bucks county farm and the two million tax bill.

In an effort to survive Nora sells five acres and takes a job as society reporter. When her boss and old friend dies, she also tries her hand at sleuthing.

The story is full of fun characters and society parties. Nora's sisters disappear and someone is searching for an art folio. Nora tries to solve the mystery helped by the sexy son of a New Jersey gangster family.

This is the first in a series. You will look forward to seeing Nora again.
