Sharyn McCrumb has long been considered the Queen of Appalachia by Mystery fans. In Ghost Riders she once again shows the skeptics that she does indeed have the stuff. McCrumb uses the grand ole style of oral history; juggling first person and third, past and present, fiction and fact. McCrumb delves into the ghosts of the civil war in this book, both real and imagined, giving the reader a glimpse of the Appalachian foothills like no other.

As always with this writer it was a pleasure.
