Rana Sterling grieves the death of her beloved grandfather, honoring Jack by driving his Vette into a remote area though the Chicago skyline can still be seen. Near tears, she stops at an antique shop where she tells the proprietor that she is just looking. The owner Sabryn shows Rana antique jewelry, but one ring with a delightful aroma catches Rana’s attention and she buys it.

Not long afterward, Rana starts having erotic dreams about a gray-eyed stranger. Not long afterward, Lucian Trevane with gray eyes enters Rana’s bookstore. He is her dream mate. Lucian realizes that Rana has the ring he constructed seventy years ago, but more important she can smell that special fragrance that only the reincarnation of his love can detect. Lucian plans to have Rana at his side as rulers of the Kendrians, but how will she react when she learns he is a vampire?

Fans of erotic vampire romances will enjoy this powerful tale. The story line is action-packed and filled with angst as the lead couple cope with vastly different issues. The key to the plot is the support cast, especially the Kendrians and her deceased grandfather. Though an extra twist involving a Gatekeeper seems at first too much, the audience will quickly realize that Patrice Michelle has added further tension and torment to a terrific duo. Those readers who appreciate A Taste of paranormal and supernatural Passion will value highly this thriller.
