A beautiful crime reporter discovers her homicide detective boyfriend's dead body. There are hints that the respected officer may, in fact, have been corrupt. Various parts of the police force are falling over each other to try to find out who from the dead officer's past was his murderer.

Meanwhile, someone is obsessing over the reporter.

'Be Mine' is a fast-paced and entertaining mystery novel. The plot is tight and satisfactorily twisty, although the 'corrupt murdered officer' subplot seems to vanish shortly after it was introduced only to pop up again near the end. Still, "Be Mine' is recommended to those looking for an exciting mystery novel with a stalker theme.
