At the bottom of artist Braden West's California garden is a door of rich dark wood, carved with beautifully stylized cats. Melissa is coming back to reclaim her rightful crown and to liberate her people. From the shape of a beautiful woman and the guise of a calico cat, Melissa fights to regain her memory and stop Siddonie from enslaving all the Netherworld peoples/

This won't be my last Murphy book! She has an incredible ability to interweave two disparite worlds and her characterization of Melissa [sometime woman, sometime cat] rings true. More properly categorized as Romantic Fantasy, this has something for everyone, and it looks like Murphy has made the change from children's books to adult with a purr.
