Tamar Myers is my favorite author. I have always preferred her Penn-Dutch series because I thought it was funnier. I felt with "Baroque and Desperate" she finally achieved the same level of humor in her Den of Antiquity series.

Next in the series, "Estate of Mind" is again truly laugh out loud funny. The character development has taken a geometric leap in the last two books also. In this particular story Abby buys a picture frame at a church auction and believes she's found a multi-million dollar Van Gogh underneath the ugly painting in the frame. Mama in her continuing effort to find herself has decided to be a missionary in Africa. Abby has a choice of beaux and finds a love match for C.J., no small feat if you're familiar with the series.

The plot appears light but I missed the clues. I love it when an author surprises me at the end.
