After loosing her partner and best friend, Campbell Cody lost her job as a police officer. Now working for her father's security firm at a retirement community, not only was Cody hit by lightening, she was almost bowled over by an elderly resident, Maida Livingstone. What possessed Maida to not only leave the community during a severe storm at a fast rate of speed during the middle of the night?

While tracking down a drug smuggler, Jackson Blade lost a teenage girl he was trailing hoping to get a lead in her involvement and more information on the smuggler's operation.

Cody and Blade's path literally collide at the hospital, each rushing to see the victim of an auto accident which was in fact a murder but how does this murder relate to the Cody and Blade's investigation which seem so separate? Suddenly the pieces start meshing forcing Cody and Blade to start working together.

Will lightening strike Blade and Cody? Will they connect all the dots before it's too late?

Enjoyable book with plenty of romance and action to keep it moving. Definitely, a most enjoyable read.
