The Manor is an estate nestled in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains that Ephram Korban has left, upon his death, as a retreat for artists to come to and get away from civilization to hone their skills for six week stints. It is set in a very isolated area with no modern conveniences such as electricity or phones. It is also abounds with stories of ghosts haunting the Manor.

Anna Galloway comes on one of the retreats but not as an artist. She has studied paranormal activity at the Rhine Research Center. She has come to the Manor because she has had continual dreams of a ghost on the Widow’s Walk of the Manor and she believes Ephram Korban or other ghosts may still be wandering there.

The Manor is filled with strange servants and the longer the artists stay, the odder their behavior also becomes. The artists seem to be driven more and more by something other than their own talents and dreams.

The Manor is another version of the haunted house stories we have all heard or read with something of a new twist. It is a good quick read that keeps one interested. I would recommend if you are looking for a fairly short horror story.
