Killer Summer is the latest in Ridley Pearson’s Sheriff Walt Fleming series. The annual wine auction that attracts the wealthy from across the country is in progress in Sun Valley, Idaho. Three bottles of wine that are supposed to be gifts from Thomas Jefferson to John Adams are one of the prominent items in the auction.

Sheriff Walt Fleming has his hands full from trying to provide security to the dignitaries to safely transporting the wine to the auction site and all the other issues the auction entails along with normal law enforcement. The auction has drawn the wealthy along with a group of criminals who appear to be intent on stealing the Adams bottles of wine. There is also some speculation as to whether the bottles are what they claim to be or a brilliant forgery.

Walt will need all of his energy and resources to try to capture the criminal Mastermind, Christopher Cantell and his partners. While trying to stop the heist, Walt must also try to save his nephew, Kevin and another young girl who find themselves in more danger than they could ever imagine.

Killer Summer is an action packed page turner that you will not want to put down. This is the first in the Walt Fleming series that I have had the pleasure of reading but after reading it I intend to immediately get the other books in the series and hope to see future installments.
