Walt Fleming is sheriff in Sun Valley Idaho. Some years back as a young patrolman, he had saved the life of Liz Shaler. Liz is now the U S Attorney General and about to announce her candidacy for president of the U S. Sun Valley is the site of Patrick Cutter¹s communication conference at which Liz is Keynote speaker. With many of the rich and powerful attending there is lots of security present. When a threat to Liz Shaler¹s life is uncovered, things ramp up. Add in dogs, a cougar and other sundry problems and it promises to be a busy and harrowing weekend.

Ridley Pearson writes a taut thriller with a human touch. The cast of characters seem to be real people with real problems or ambitions. This read will keep you on the edge of your seat.
