This book is full of suspense and will hold your attention throughout. I enjoyed the complexity of the characters and the sense of place. A tornado was described in vivid detail, suggesting the author has beheld this event with her own eyes.

An dead, unknown, naked girl is found in the snow one night. Her identity is kept secret and the mystery of the book is the why of it and the who. Parallel stories unfold in this book, as the events around this young girl's death affect two generations, in very different ways. The stories of the three friends, Mitch, Rex and Abby are echoed by the stories of their parents. Red herrings are thrown in the reader's path to cast suspicion on other likely perpetrators. When the secrets of the past are finally revealed, no reader will be disappointed.
