Series: Silicon Valley Mysteries

In Palo Alto, California, Ian Michaels is an executive at a high tech company. Stopping at his home one noontime, he is knocked out by an intruder. The next day he again comes home at lunchtime, this time to find a body in his bed. The victim is the woman who cleans his house. Ian knows her only through notes they leave for each other, but police believe they had a romantic relationship and he becomes the chief suspect.

Trying to extract himself he is also caught up with problems at work. Working his way through the maze, he befriends a policewoman and the victimıs sister but faces real betrayal. Can this mess have a satisfying ending?

Raffel seems to do everything well here from characters to setting to a twisty plot. I found this an enjoyable read that will have you hoping for an encore.
