I give this book only 2 paws because of the subject matter makes it tough to read. Morgan Stroud, a teacher at a private school, is found burned to death. His death is pretty gruesome. There is also a child pornographer in town.

I have enough trouble reading books set in other countries, so the subject matter made it difficult. I did find myself wanting to continue the book as I needed to find out how this strange death occurred. I was surprised by who did it.

I plan to try at least one more by this author as I liked the main character Dr. Jean Montrose. I am not too fond of her two daughters. Plus I was disappointed to see how the fact that one of her daughters is drinking was hidden and not dealt with. I hope that in a future book this is dealt with better.
