This is subtitled 'father/son baking story¹ but is a compelling story about families and about a father who is alternately flawed and awesome. I read this the way I do a favorite mystery story, in one sitting.

Dylan writes a moving and surprisingly honest book that exposes his father's flaws as well as his own. While his father searches for a way to make amends, Dylan finds himself healing from past hurt and anger. All this in a marvelous setting of New York City and lessons on baking breads.
