Berkley Prime Crime, 2005, 280 pps.
Kelly Flynn returns to Fort Connor, Colorado on a sad mission. Her Aunt Helen has been killed and Kelly needs to close up her house and dispose of her property. Aunt Helen was like a mother to Kelly and losing her so soon after her father’s death from cancer leaves Kelly sad and alone.
Carl, Kelly’s dog, is thrilled with Aunt Helen’s home. It gives him a yard to play in and a whole golf course full of golf balls to steal.
When Kelly talks to Lawrence Chambers, her aunt’s lawyer, she is stunned to learn that her Aunt took out a $20,000.00 second mortgage on her cottage just before her death. This is something that Kelly can’t believe. She also doesn’t feel the police have arrested the right man in her aunt’s murder.
Soon she is uncovering other details that leave her even more suspicious.
Kelly’s salvation is the knitting group consisting of women of all ages who were friends of Aunt Helen’s and are now Kelly’s friends and more than willing to help with the investigation. Kelly even learns to knit.
Knit One, Kill Two makes the reader anxious to read the next Kelly Flynn book and find out if Kelly returns to New York or stays with her new found friends in Fort Connor.
