Jenny Siler
Class/Genre: Mystery Woman Main Character Amateur Sleuth
Jenny Siler's fourth book, a stand-alone of loss, suspense and awakening of Eve, the protagonist of this amazing story,
This page turner is filled with twists and turns and is enhanced by being beautifully written. Siler has achieved a wonderful blend of a riveting store and poetic prose.
The story of how Eve, a woman who is living with amnesia, traces her past is one element of the plot that is spellbinding. Her description of what is like to be 'born' into her adult world was a creative approach.
The timeline of the story trips into the present, the immediate past and the unfolding past of Eve’s life as she was before she developed amnesia. Siler employs word pictures to describe the various settings of the novel. Much of the story takes place in Northern Africa. One has the sense that Siler is describing a place she knows well.
Siler’s fourth book reflects a maturity in her writing and I look forward to future works from this talented and imaginative writer.
