Book Review: The Star

After a wild youth and living under a false identity for years Walter is finally beginning to face life as a son, a brother, a father and a grandfather. Walter finally decided to quit running away from things after falling in love with Sally, a computer genius, and a really tough lady. I don’t count the short set-back he experienced in The Star.

But in Star he finds he must deal with his daughter, who also has bi-polar disorder, his grandson, his sister and some very revealing news about his father who is deceased.

Walter is a character that is a lot of fun and doesn’t take life too seriously but when he finds that his daughter is accused of murder and his grandson is dumped on his doorstep Walter has to face life head-on and take action. Walter’s actions are not always legal and the friends that help him don’t mind working a bit outside the law.

The Star is the third in the tarot card mysteries and a very enjoyable book. But if you really want to get to know Walter and his friends and family start with Eight of Swords and then read High Priestess. I think when you finish these three books if you feel as I do you will be anxious to see what is going to happen next in Walter Ritter’s exciting life.
