Married couple MacLaren and Joe Riddley run a feed and nursery business in Georgia. Mac is also a local magistrate. Whether due to her interest in justice or sheer nosiness, she seems to get involved in murder investigations. Joe Riddley with the help of his friend the sheriff has figured a way to put a stop to it. Unfortunately his attempt to keep Mac safe puts her in extreme danger.

The daughter of a local taxidermist has died in unusual circumstances. When two men are eventually caught, it¹s only the beginning. Another woman is found dead. Sprinkle provides plenty of clues to keep you alert.

Sprinkle¹s books give a good sense of southern small town living from drinking sweet tea in a rocking chair on a porch to church going characters knowing everyone and their business. Her stories seem as if fate has been weaving all the disparate problems into one tapestry. A good read.
