The hamlet of Lake Charlotte in upstate New York is a place where everyone knows each other. Residents of the small community at the foothills of the Adirondacks, leave their doors unlocked because nothing bad ever happens. Ten years ago that idyllic life changed when three teenage girls vanish without leaving a clue. Rory Connelly personally felt the impact because her sister and her best friend were two of the missing girls.
When she was old enough, Rory left town, leaving behind her brother Kevin to care for their baby sister and their mother. For the next decade, Rory lived a nomadic lifestyle. That ends when Kevin demands she returns home to be the family caretaker so he and his girlfriend can go to Europe. Ten years to the day of the first disappearance, Molly's best friend vanishes. The whole disaster seems to be starting over, but this time Rory finds herself in the center of the mess.
ALL THE WAY HOME is a suspense-filled thriller that concentrates on no place being safe because no one knows what really lurks inside the minds of their neighbors. Initially, fans will detest Rory for deserting her family. They will quickly feel sympathetic towards her as she unsuccessfully flees her ugly memories for a decade. Readers will also feel empathy toward Kevin, who is too young to care for his mentally disturbed mother and his little sister. Wendy Corsi writes an exciting, fast-paced story line that will keep readers' attention throughout the enticing tale.
