Series: Bubbles Yablonsky # 4

What can you say about Bubbles Yablonsky? Dresses like a slut but a nice girl underneath? Failed eight years of classes at Two Guys Community College yet Œnot so much of a dim bulbč as another character calls her? She seems smart enough to get out of almost any scrape.

Bubbles is a former beautician now trying to become a journalist. The plot involves a man killed by cyanide-tipped fingernails.

Although the author lives in Vermont she must have spent a lot of time in Pennsylvania because the setting is true along with the habits and speech of the natives. The characters are a bit over the top, and I found the plot resolved in a less than satisfying manner. There are beauty recipes included at the end. The book reminded me of Evanovitch.

This mystery is definitely chik lit, but definitely fun.
