Deadly Behavior is the story of John Harrison, mayor of River City, his wife, Marie and daughter, Lisa. John is a very powerful man with many connections and high political ambitions. He is involved also in other illegal activities besides his job as Mayor.

At home he vents his bouts of rage in abusing his wife, while also making sexual advance on his 16 year old daughter. In a state of constant fear and knowing her mother is unable to protect her, Lisa runs away from home.

Now the chase is on. John is up for re-election as mayor and hopes to run for Governor in the next term when the current Governor retires. He has decided Lisa is a traitor and must be found as she is the only one that could and probably would ruin his political career.

Dee Sullivan did a wonderful job fleshing out the characters in this book and making one understand exactly how they were feeling at each moment in the book. My problem with the book is that although I do believe in God, I feel the characters in the book relied to heavily on God to solve their problems for them and it was just too religious for my taste in mysteries.
