In Minnesota, a former client Jack Miller visits Serena Wilcox and her partner Karyn at the Serena Wilcox Detective Agency. Jack tells the two women about the treatment he and his family received at Camp Conviction, a former military compound converted for use by religious fanatics. Jack suggests Serena infiltrate the camp in order to find what is going on..

Serena sends Karyn accompanied by the latter’s boyfriend and his nephew to the camp. While the trio gets into one life threatening problem after another, elderly Jill Patterson visits Serena to obtain her help with pickets on her upstate property near a former military compound. Serena realizes the danger she has placed her partner and companions in as she connects the two cases, but will she and Jill be too late to rescue Karyn and company?

CAMP CONVICTION is a fun to read tale that never takes itself seriously. The story line is exciting yet often humorous. Because of the amusement in the air and the talent of Natalie Buske Thomas, the charcaters seem more real than those found in a drop-dead grave who-done-it. This is a one sitting novel that must be read with pizza to fully absorb the works.
