Well, let's see. FBI training for newcomers to the Hostage Rescue Team. A US Senator seeking to become the first woman president. A wealthy, influential businessman developing a new communications technology which threatens US security. A beautiful FBI agent who may or may not be a mole in a large corporation. Trips to the Middle East. A bizarre attempt to implicate the Senator in a murder.

Quite a lot going on here, and it seems as if events should have held my attention. However, characters are only minimally developed, and motivations of many players never really clear.

A final moment of truth in which all story lines converge, and which seemed woefully improbably to this reader.
