Alan Gregory, Boulder, Colorado psychiatrist, has managed once again to paint himself into a corner with an ethical dilemma. This time, however, it really is not his fault. This time, one patient recommends another, and it is only later that Alan understands the connection between them, and manages to endanger his own life in his search for the truth.

Tom Clone has been released from prison because DNA evidence has proved that he did not commit the brutal murder of which he was accused. Kelda James is the FBI agent that locates the evidence, based on an anonymous tip, and secures his release. Fred Prehost and George "Hoppy" Bonnet are the detectives who not only do not believe the evidence; they are determined that Clone either be returned to prison or a funeral parlor.

Once again, Stephen White has come up with an exciting story that will keep you up late at night. Plot twists abound; this is another thrilling "do not miss" in a long string of successes.
