Vivian Carrington is one of the wealthiest and most powerful women in the world but when her best friend dies she feels empty and rudderless. She travels the world trying to find herself and ends up in New Orleans doing research on voodoo for a friend. She spends a lot of her spare time at Chat Night, a popular nightclub.

The owner of Chat Night, Sinjin is actually a vampire several hundred years old trying to recover from the death of his one true love. When Vivian and Sinjin meet sparks fly, but these two wary, heartbroken people are afraid to become intimately involved with each other. While they are dealing with these unwanted feelings Sinjin comes into possession of a book that other vampires would kill for and a hit man intends to make Vivian his next target.

J.C. Wilder is one of the best writers of supernatural romances in the genre and her latest work is quite a triumph. The romance between the two protagonists is fascinating to observe but it now the two make peace with their pasts that makes TEMPTATION the author’s best work to date. A fast-paced, multilayered plot and a rousing climax makes for a powerful reading experience.
