I love Valerie Wolzien's books. As I was approaching the solution on this last one I kept thinking all sorts of negatives; that it was sloppily written, the characters were more annoying and scummy than average for her fictional community and there were certainly not a fair number of clues given to the reader. Then Zap! she got me good. "I should have guessed" I said slapping my forehead. Wolzien has achieved a new level of hiding the clues and a new direction for her sleuth Susan Henshaw in this one. Don't miss it.
