Josie learns she has a lookalike in town, right down to the red hair and occupation as a carpenter. When the lookalike ends up dead at Josies construction site, she has to wonder just who was the intended victim. Permit for Murder, third in the Josie Pigeon series, is a well crafted plot driven mystery with a couple subplots that go a long way to developing relationships among the lead characters.
