Two Dollar Bill is a Stone Barrington book and more interesting than the last few. New characters are introduced and really give Stone and Dino a bad time before we reach the conclusion of the story.
Billy Bob Barnstormer is introduced to Stone at Elaine’s by Bill Eggers, managing partner of Woodman & Weld, and the law firm to whom Stone is of counsel. Billy Bob immediately decides he wants Stone for his lawyer. Billy Bob is from Texas, wears a broad-brimmed Stetson and a western-cut suit and has been introduced to Eggers by one of Eggers Texas’ clients. Billy Bob also has a pocketful of two dollar bills which he enjoys passing out.
It turns out Billy Bob Barnstormer has more names and occupations than a cat has lives and none of the occupations.
Stone has a fling with Tiffany Baldwin, the U. S. Attorney from New York but that relationship is doomed thanks to Billy Bob. And Arrington makes an appearance to round out the party.
Even if you may be a little tired of Stone Barrington and his love life you will probably enjoy Two Dollar Bill.
